The fourth sign you need to watch out for is leaking transmission fluid. When the fluid leaks from the transmission, your engine will not be able to work properly. You can check your transmission dipstick when your engine is cool to ensure it has enough transmission fluid. You can also check for reddish colored, sweet-smelling liquid under your vehicle.
